Jayne Mansfield's Car
Hello movie fans. Yesterday as I walked to work I notice several trailers lined up along the side of the road just outside the Inman Park MARTA Station. I inquired what movie was being shot and that's when they told me Jayne Mansfield's Car. You've got to be kidding. Never before has Back to One Been so close to Hollywood celebrities. Don't get me wrong, we are far from Star fuckers, but we do enjoy the talent of celebrity. Considering the celebrities in question are Kevin Bacon, Robert Duvall, Dennis Quiad and Billy Bob Thorton. Well let's just say... It's more then exciting to walk by their trailers twice a day. I am hoping to run into one of these fine actors to or from work maybe I can find out what Kevin Bacon like at craft services. If any of the three people who read this know of someone on the production I would love to get an interview for Back to One.

Amanda needs a new pair of shoes
As suspected those crazy kids at Peachtree and 5th are at it again. A few weeks ago Back to one gave you the scoop about their newest venture In Amanda's Shoes. As many of you know i ain't cheap to make a movie, it's also not impossible to raise the kind of money this quickly growing production company needs to get reach their $50,000.
To all of you out there if you know of anyone who is looking to invest in films please make a donation that would help Amanda get a new pair of shoes.
Every contribution helps even $10 will bring them one step closer to their goal of $50,000. I'm sure one of you wants to be, or knows someone who wants to be a movie producer. Now is your chance.

The Promotion Preview Party
Hello everyone. Back to 1 is back, with some inside scoop from the preview party of the Peathree & 5th short film, The Promotion.
This past Wednesday the Atlanta based short film The Promotion had a preview party for the cast, crew and a few invited guest. The event was held in the Club House of 805 Peachtree and production company Peachtree & 5th celebrated the viewing of their film in style.
The Promotion, filmed last summer featured yours truly as Alex, one of the gay best friends to the heroin, Amanda.
Speaking relatively objectively, The Promotion a pretty funny movie. The story is engaging, the charecters are relatable and Jackie Costello is wonderful as Amanda. She is quirky, cute and lovable; everything you want in your leading lady. The film has been submitted to Cannes Film Festival so fingers crossed kids. My onscreen film debut at Cannes, not gonna lie, kind excited!
The fact the The Promotion is showing at Cannes is wonderful, send out good thoughts that it is well recieved. but that was not the big news of the evening. The big announcement was made by Melissa Ewing and Edwin Navas, who make up Peachtree & 5th. The Promotion, is being made into a feature length film, starring Jackie Costello as Amanda.
Right now there is no word yet as to who will be joining Jackie in the feature version, entitled In Amanda's Shoes, but I'm sure Peachtree & 5th will bring together magic as usual and put together a great film. Crossing my fingers for an audition. Since the film is in pre-production for now all I can say is it's Back to 1 for Jackie Costello and 5th & Peachtree.

August Osage County
EW.Com has reported that the Tracy Letts play August Osage County will be turned into a major motion picture staring Julia Robers and Meryl Streep.
Before you see it on the big screen go to the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta to see it on stage. August Osage is one of the best piece of American Theatre I have seen in a long time. Every character is so brilliantly written, it is truly a masterpiece. Now, take this amazing script and add a flawless cast you and you have theatre gold. Alliance Theatre Artistic Director Susan Booth has assembled one of the most amazing cast that Atlanta has seen. We have seen these actors together on stage before, but never like this. All of them seemed to be playing against type and yet their roles fit them like a glove.
I encourage everyone to run no really run to the Alliance to see this amazing show featuring Atlanta actors and heavy hitter Brenda Bynum, Jill Jane Clements, Tess Malis Kinkad,Chris Kayser, Del Hamilton, Richard Garner, Courtney Patterson, Carolyn Cook, Bart Hansard, Joe Knezevich, Bethany Anne Lind and Diany Rodriguez.
There are so some shows were you can say oh well it was good and this person was amazing, but every person who stepped foot on that stage brought pure magic. The set was another major player in this tour de force. A two story house that lived and breathed helped ad to the tension and the comedy of this amazing work.
Now I won't spoil anything for those who have never seen the show but at the end of each act I found my self speechless. This show reminds me why I love theatre and has reengaged me in the Atlanta theatre community. Thank you Susan and the cast of August Osage County for making me fall in love with theatre all over again.
